Sun July 14th, 8:00 pm

The Quitters feature Stevie Coyle and Glenn “Houston” Pomianek, two phenomenal musicians with a wealth of experience and accolades. Both were founding members of the acclaimed quintet The Waybacks, and Glenn was co-founder and lead guitarist for Americana powerhouse Houston Jones.

Glenn Houston is a master of the acoustic and electric guitar, drawing inspiration from legends like Michael Bloomfield and Doc Watson. His talent has been recognized by the Northern California Bluegrass Society, awarding him “Best Guitarist”. He was awarded the prestigious “Bammie Award” (Bay Area Music Awards) for outstanding folk/country artist. Glenn is also a past judge for the National Flatpick Guitar Championship Competition. He has shared the stage with an impressive roster of artists, including Emmylou Harris, Merle Haggard, Earl Scruggs, Doc and Merle Watson, Willie Nelson, and many more.

Stevie Coyle found his passion for fingerpicking guitar after hearing the first Hot Tuna album. With a diverse background that includes degrees in Theatre and Theology, Stevie has also entertained audiences with his comedic talents. He’s performed with The Royal Lichtenstein Circus, acted in various media, done stand-up comedy, and toured extensively. Currently, Stevie owns and operates Mighty Fine Guitars, a high-end acoustic guitar shop in Lafayette, CA.

Honey Whiskey Trio tells stories through song and stomp, highlighting the musical traditions of American Folk Music.

They arrange and explore music from the front porches, music halls, and hymn books of early America, and create new music that honors these rich histories. Beyond the stage, their passion for music education, community engagement, and singing unapologetically drives them as they work with youth and adult vocal ensembles and lead community workshops with life-long music lovers across the United States.

“Their sound is intoxicating… To simply classify this trio as folk, bluegrass, or jazz would be to do them a great disservice. What I hear is great music and what I see is great joy.” – Bluegrass Spin
