In January 2001, we had this crazy idea that we would bring on the Folk revolution. Thus, FolkWorks was created with a small, dedicated board and a crew of volunteers. We recruited writers, sold ads, and distributed 15,000 newspapers bi-monthly throughout Southern California. With your support and encouragement, we grew and presented concerts, sponsored dances, and held festivals. In 2007, we moved from hard copy to an online website. The Susie Glaze New Folk Ensemble

Tracy Newman and Art Podell are veteran Los Angeles-based singer-songwriters who perform together in a popular, acoustic ensemble called “In the Big Round,” a private songwriting circle turned public sensation.
SWING RIOTS Quirktette
The SWING RIOTS Quirktette is a Los Angeles-based acoustic folk and traditional jazz band known for playing an “irreverent gumbo” of music.
