“In the Big Round”, a collective of accomplished Southern California singer-songwriters who began as a private weekly workshop and have since evolved into a compelling live performance experience that has grown into sold-out appearances at McCabe’s Guitar Shop (twice), Coffee Gallery Backstage (twice), Severin Browne’s First Friday series, and Boulevard Music (twice). The lineup features Emmy and Peabody Award-winning writer Tracy Newman, folk legend Art Podell (founding member of The New Christy Minstrels), former Motown recording artist Severin Browne, acclaimed Americana artist John Zipperer, and standout songwriters Ken Holme, Craig “Linc” Lincoln, and Kevin Kelso. The format is intimate and collaborative — trading songs, stories, and harmonies in the round — creating a warm, engaging evening that celebrates craft, camaraderie, and world-class songwriting.
