Guitarology Seminar: The Jam

Join Stephen “Doc” Patt  (ex sideman for artists Ryan Adams, Phoebe Bridger, and Jon Brion) at McCabe’s for a weekly Americana jam session. In the spirit of the award winning musical showcase Guitarology, players of all experience levels are invited to enroll in this inclusive and collaborative seminar. Participants will gain experience performing as an acoustic ensemble, delve into the art of the solo, and learn how to adapt/improvise off of their fellow musicians. Singing and harmonizing on songs is optional, but highly encouraged – especially on the chorus! Special guests from Dr. Patt’s wide circle of musical friends will drop in occasionally to contribute their expertise. Suggested acoustic instruments include guitar, banjo, mandolin and bass (upright or bass guitar).

Cost: $180 for 6 weeks

Time: Saturdays, 3-4PM
